Curated, not comprehensive — grouped by who made it
This is Knut's own curated pick, not a complete list — if you know a video that really belongs here, let him know.
Steve Martin has been teaching Final Cut Pro since 1999. Core Training, Media Management, Sound, Color and Multicam courses, kept current with every FCP release — the closest thing to a structured curriculum for the app.
Two decades as a producer/editor, with weekly free FCP & Motion tutorials on YouTube and a structured paid course, "Final Cut Rock Star," updated for FCP 12 — she explains the why, not just the click-path.
Not a Final Cut Pro course itself — his paid Apple Motion Masterclass (41 lessons) teaches Apple Motion, the companion app, so you can build your own publishable Final Cut Pro templates and plugins. His regular free tutorials are proper FCP tips and live in the Videos tab.
We wouldn't rely on Pixel Film Studios as an effects/plugin vendor. Independent reviews on Trustpilot and ComplaintsBoard, plus a long-running Apple Community thread, describe a pattern of purchased plugins not downloading, unresponsive or chatbot-only support, and rapid, low-quality-control releases.
This is one vendor's plugin store, not a training resource — it's flagged here because it keeps coming up in the same conversations as the trainers above.
All 24 of Payton's (@tpayton) FCPX tip graphics from our reference collection — if you spot more of his out there, let us know. We checked all 24 against current Final Cut Pro: 21 are confirmed still accurate. The 3 marked "double-check" touch areas Apple has since reworked (the Text/Titles tool, audio pan behavior, transition-selection shortcuts) — the core idea is still likely right, just verify the exact steps in your own FCP before relying on them.
Plus 9 of Charlie Austin's (fcpxpert.net) "Gif-Tips" from 2016 — short animated demos rather than static cards. FCPX's UI has moved on in places since then, so treat the exact clicks as a rough guide, not gospel.
